Saftey check failed: BattlefrontII.exe=BattlefrontII.exe does not exsist problem [solved]
Hi Battlefront people. As title says, I'm having this problem, every time I try to install the conversion mod it either doesn't work, or I get this error, can someone help me, please?
I'm literally at the end of my rope.

Which version of the game are you using? And what path did you install the mod to?

Oh man... I need to know more about your problem to be able to fix it

It's the Conversion mod http://www.moddb.com/mods/star-wars-battlefront-conversion-pack
okay so, I installed the mod into C/Programfiles (x86)/Steam/Steamapps/Common/StarwarsBattlefrontII/Gamedata and when I did it gave me that error.

Steam>steamapps>common>battlefront2>Gamedata>addon is a correct install direction
maVRoyal Apr 21, 2017 @ 2:18pm
You are missing addon
maVRoyal Apr 21, 2017 @ 2:20pm
Better is when i see it XD (or instead gamedata choose addon ) steam>steamapps>common> battlefront 2>addon
Philofhats.twitch Apr 21, 2017 @ 2:21pm
okay I'll try this.
Philofhats.twitch Apr 21, 2017 @ 2:26pm
okay so I created a "addon" folder in battlefront 2 like this: C/Programfiles (x86)/Steam/Steamapps/Common/StarwarsBattlefrontII/Gamedata/addon

Is this right?

right did all that and this is what the administrator says:

Checking Windows XP

Error: The system was unable to find the specified registry key or value.

Checking Window Vista 32bit

Error: The system was unable to find the specified registry key or value.

Checking windows vista 64bit

Error: The system was unable to find the specified registry key or value.

You should have two registry key errors above this line.
You can safely ignore them.

Warning - Safty check failed:
"BattlefrontII.exe=BattlefrontII.exe" does not exist.

Halting to prevent possible folder damage.

Press any key to continue.

Ideas?

I used the back up files, and now the mod works. I can't believe that's all it took, but there it was. So if you have this problem, just use you're back up folder from the mod.

Don't forget the 2.2 patch. It fixes certain bugs and other stuff
