How is the story?

The trailer instantly caught my attention with the tone it created through music and voice-overs. I could tell within a few seconds that the devs have to be fans of Silent Hill.

I used to love survival horror games but haven't finished one in a long time. A lot of that is because none of them have good plot anymore, which give a motivation to wade through the darkness and monsters.

So I have to ask, does this game have a heavy emphasis on story driving the game forward like the classic Silent Hill games?

It's not Silent Hill 2 but its not horrid either. If you read the notes scattered through the world, it will make better sense. Its actually kind of smart in some ways. Just don't expect Silent Hill 2 and you will enjoy it.
