So is there no way currently to put yourself out if you catch on fire? Maybe a way to spray the fog mist on yourself? A suggestion for mp would be to allow another player to spray you with a hose to put the fire out.
I have tested currently other firefighter players can use their water hose to put out the fire on you, but not sure if it works if police or firefighter players used their fire extinguishers. Like mentioned previously, firefighter outfit is supposed to be fireproof. Perhaps developer @developer can make it so that after being in flames for more than a fixed time (20 seconds or maybe more) than the player starts to catch fire for a limited amount of time that does not result in death but a few to middle hp lost.
I have a suggestion for the developer, if they think it is possible. Maybe make the turnouts not part of the character model, but have the base character in a day uniform that is similar to what the paramedics wear, then have the turnout gear as an equip-able item, kind of like the SCBA air pack. Before leaving the firehouse to go to a fire, you could interact with the locker room and put on turnout gear, and then the gear will work like an "armor" that absorbs fire damage until its durability rating hits zero, then you would take fire damage after. Then when you get back to the station, you can interact with the locker room again and take off the gear, allowing you to put a fresh one on when you interact with it again.
If that's not a lot of extra work to code and model, that would probably make it a little more realistic.
Sounds great! It's also realistic~
