Ya man everything needs update so it can be fixed and we can enjoy the best realism in this simulator!!!
Yes this game is very far from complete but what we have now we should be grateful. We need updates in certain areas such as pathfinding lines for the AI in general, optimization for single and multiplayer, improved stability for online servers, fixing graphics in certain areas, cleaning up the small bugs and glitches... Those come first before we get new content like updated weapons, new character customization, more interactive options with AI Peds, K-9, vehicles, lights on the pushbar, and whatever else.
If we were to get new vehicles I would love to see the option to airlift a patient when playing as the EMS, have a flatbed truck instead of the tow truck, remove the swat van entirely, have a foam truck for the FD, theres plenty of ideas for vehicles but like I said we need those major updates first before anything else is given to us
that game is trash has the worst gameplay and its fake contents make it the worst. No thanks that game doesn't even allow action. useless trash game not needed.
I like Police Simulator better than this game. It does have action. You just taser suspects instead of shooting them dead. Its more fun to taser and watch them twitch afterwards.
Police Simulator has a much more active and immersive environment. In Flashing Lights, there just are not enough peds and traffic even when they are maxed. You can drive through the business area and not see a ped or car, even parked. It looks like a ghost town. The roads are all too new looking which makes it feel unreal. Buildings are all just boxes.
Obviously Flashing Lights put their resources into gameplay with have EMS/Fire and Police, which is fine. Then they skimped on the graphics as far as adding the smaller details that would add so much realism. Its not fun to just drive around as much as in Police Simulator. The only thing PS lacks is K9 units and not having radar from the car. You have to get out and point the gun. It does have pacing though which FL lacks as far as I now. Car chases in PS are awesome because of how well designed the downtown is. I can find more peds in a single city park than the entire game of FL.
so u like boring games and games that have almost no realism....flashing lights is so much more immersive with calls and action i can never miss police sim....garbage realism...better to enjoy this one. but then again u r amongst the ones who love boring games. thanks.
Basically we just need a game that combines the both of them and BAM we have a great police game to play but I dont see anyone doing that so we get what we get and we dont throw a fit
I think there's a couple of issues on making the "perfect" Police/First Responder simulator, Police Sim is a dedicated simulation of Police duties (to an extent ofc, obviously its not perfect and IMO the game is too PG but I also haven't played recently so idk if they made the game less PG). Whereas Flashing Lights, is NOT a police sim. Its a FIRST RESPONDER/EMERGENCY SERVICES simulator first and foremost. It just so happens that from my observations (and my own preferences as a cop main) that a lot of people like to play cops compared to the other roles. So it feels like a Police Sim when its technically not. Also I guess the Red/Blue light used for the game's title on the store page makes it appear to be focused on the Police side of things since Red/Blue is usually associated with Law Enforcement.
The other issue is really just down to the playerbase and not being able to please everybody. Even in this thread you can see some of it. redgreen999 likes Police Sim for the more mundane aspects of daily cop duties which is what Police Sim has a heavier focus on, while Maaz-Fun calls him someone that is "amongst the ones who love boring games".
To me, that implies that he is the type to respond to a "Fire with possible entrapment" call as a cop, shows up, blocks the road for a couple of minutes, but the moment a new police-oriented call comes up and it contains action (person with a gun, armed robbery, etc.), he immediately accepts that call and abandons post, and speeds off to the call, potentially flying THROUGH the active fire scene that is being blocked off by everyone. Hell, maybe instead of setting up a proper perimeter with cones/flares, he just parks his car so he can fly off to an "action packed" call when one shows up. I wouldn't know, I don't know what the guy is like in-game but I've certainly seen my fair share of cop players who are attracted to action like moths to lights.
Its like when people join the military or become a police officer because they want action or to use cool gadgets and stuff. Terrible reason to join the military or be a cop, yet people like that exist and some do make it into either profession only to be disappointed when they REALLY find out what day-to-day life is actually like (spoiler alert, its not what you see in the movies).
I dropped Police Sim specifically for the reasons this game is
1. easier to just instantly play (no need to try to prove i am simulating every single police officer's steps day to day - that was over the top annoying watching officer pull out his clip board etc).
2. this game plays a lot more open world do what you want on patrol
3. this game INCLUDES fire and ambulance missions that are far more interesting, got a cat rescued then saved from forest fire is interesting challenge
4. Police Sim may have a bit more on graphics/task/realism but i am not really looking for realism as much as ease of play and bit of fun.
... and man the number of times i tried to shoot an NPC in 'police sim' because they were a pain in the arse -- and ended up back at station with loss of points. i don't need real life bureaucracy and paperwork to also be in my gaming!
maybe the police sim fans can compare sims with sims instead?
