Well you are right, none of those are implemented. Yet we designed the RP around other Applications running side-to-side with Flashing Lights.
Take a Customised CAD System on your Second Monitor with a Postal Code Map.
You have a Dispatch sitting in the Discord coordinating the Emergencies.
It works out and everyone that enjoys this game will enjoy those methods as it makes the game more playable.
As an example take a Panic Button.
The units can't communitcate with each other by default only if a Supervisor advices them to do so.
But every Unit has a Panic Button in the CAD System allowing him to call all other units.
Interesting ideas. However is it really practical & what occurs when bugs kick in??
You have to get used to it at first but people interested in a RP like that most likely have come in contact with CAD systems before.
And once you got used to it yea it gets really practical as it enhances the realism factor of the game by a lot. Not having to roll out to the same calls over and over.
Having officers doing traffic stops, asking for a second patrol as backup.
Just having those moments of someone pressing the panic button and seeing every unit on the map rolling in on the location.
I'm updating the systems on a daily basis to keep the community alive and adding new features.
Just yesterday I designed a "Area of patrol" System allowing the Officers to assign themself to a specific District on the map to drive their patrols.
On the bug side, well yea there are some and there will always be some.
Since Flashing Lights itself is not that stable we often need to Restart the Server and sometimes the CAD System needs to be reloaded but nothing gamebreaking.
Following on..... Players can have problems adhering to just 'set' rules in any server when none of them are properly implemented. Server Admin overwatch can be time consuming too.
