According to IndieDB, Flashing Lights development uses Unity 3D.
So it would be great to see a native port. Since roughly 90% of the Linux games on Steam are developed via Unity 3D.

For now, it is possible to run the game using Steam Play (I've tested using Proton 4.2, not enabled for FL by default to my knowlege) on Linux. However, the frame rate is noticeably lower / more laggy, than when using Win 10 on the same rig. Official support for Steam Play might be an option going forward, if porting to native is too complex/expensive?
