First Boss
I still cannot beat the first boss. People keep saying to either take it slow and focus on monks when they spawn but they don't stop spawning.
Others say to rush it with fire and bomb arrows but even after spamming the boss with all my arrows, the room is so full of monks that I die in just a few seconds.
Not to mention the zombies that keep following you.

I wanna get past the boss but what really kills it for me is that getting to the boss is really easy. So whenever I die, I have to play a full hour just to get another chance. I understand why but it is not like there maybe is a practise mode if say you fought it like 30 times and still cannot beat him. Whenever I get to the boss now, I just anticipate my death every time.

Any other tips people have?

Look at the end of this video and I show an easy way to get past Anakim. Try and stay healthy before you dive into this.

Lots of Cataclysm's aimed at the head as fast as you can. Save them for the boss! While shooting move slowly backwards to avoid shots,

After starting a new account, I discovered the bosses are a lot more difficult for new players. After you gain some achievements they get easier. I guess the idea is to give you enough of a challenge to cause you to return, however I think it’s too much, as I almost quit until I got pass. What everyone is suggesting is correct, at the bottom of the alter steps, empty all Cataclysm, or any explosive item, into Anakim’s head, as fast as possible. Don’t back up too much, as you’ll spawn every monk behind you, but keep in mind that Anakim is encased in a shield which damages you once a second or so, so keep backing up enough to keep getting shots to the head, but not so far that you spawn monks. If he has any life left, plain arrows to the head will do a lot of damage. If you have a frozen arrow then shoot one in him at the start since it will deliver damage over time. Just keep it up. You’ll get it. I had the exact same issue, but this got me through it.

There are many different ways to deal with him. Best way for me is to shoot 1-2 ice arrows at him then shoot Cat3 or Cat V straight to his head, that will put him down very quickly. Ice keeps causing damage for a few seconds after you've shot them and make for a very powerful combination when used right before the explosives.

Once you get enough practice you can even kill him without using any special arrows like I do on this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2pP6dkS_EE

not recommended if you're a new player, mind you.

Thanks for the tips. It's just, I get frustrated after a while and yet keep coming back. I was so close last time T_T

Anakim taking damage is what spawns the monks. They won't aggro on you if you aren't within a certain range however; maybe this is what you're referring to.

The pit is not necessary to get to Anakim, you can skip them.

First, unlock Incursion by killing 21 ghosts. Incursion is basically a mine that disappears after a short time.
Get to Anakim with full incursion and cataclysm.
Stay on the ledge and quickly shoot all incursion arrows at the stairs, as close to each other as possible, but don't hit Anakim (if you do, that mine explodes immediately and does no damage).
When you run out of Incursion arrows, teleport down, trigger Anakim, and as soon as he hits the stairs, spam him with cataclysm. Preferably to the head but it really does not matter at this point. Fire arrows should work well too.
He'll be down before the monks finish spawning and shoot their first arrows.

Brace for a change of pace though. Paradise Lost is quite a step up from Purgatory.

After you kill the boss, you have to teleport through the light and return to an area that looks a bit like the sanctuary. There you'll see a sign that you can log off now. But if you start the level, you have to restart from the beginning after you die (or log out).

Oooo thats why damn that will be hard.

So I finally managed to beat him with basically all my arrows. You say restart from the beginning. Do you mean the second level or the game? Also if the second level, do you start with your health back?

What I am trying to ask is if you try the second level and you already got hit like 4 times, can you turn off the game and give the second level another go?

If you die at the 2 lvl you have to do lvl 1 again.
