Access camera through a switch

I am on single player and I got an email saying Hello, I have heard about your skills and I have a certain personal interest in you taking a look at the computer that is on the 53.229.113.123 network on the LAN 10.0.6.5. You may find something that may interest you.

So naturally I hacked that IP, got a pdf with another IP, hacked that too, looked through the cameras and found the root password with 3 different IP in them. looked through those computer and found a pdf of a meeting saying how the os has been hacked and they wont go public etc. is I tried mailing one of the employees with the attachment saying "you better give me money". but they responded with i don't know. I am confused, what is the end goal here?

Also there is one camera I haven't been able to access. It's gateway is a switch, I accessed another computer connected to the same switch but the camera is "unreachable". please help

Is it a switch or a router? Switches should just be transparent and not prevent you from accessing anything.

Routers OTOH, can have a firewall active and you won't be able to reach it just by connecting to it. If that is the case, you either need to hack a machine behind the router and access the routers config page (from behind the router) and open it up - or use an exploit to gain access to the router itself and jump from there to the device you wish to access.

i had an issue where two cameras and a computer were behind a switch i hacked the switch and changed ports in the settings so it should allow everything and not block anything but i was still not able to access the cameras from outside the switch and i can 't run a browser in the switch or in the camera and the pc that was there had no open ports so i couldn't get in there at all.. and the switch was blocking all traffic even after i opened everything up .. it made no sense

I'm stuck on that same mission.. hard to say if in the same "spot" or not, as all our infrastructure is procedurally generated.. but sounds like the same step. Idk what to do.
