It's telling me to change a note to approved. What note. I can only see his Employee and student profile with his student one saying his Economy score is 2.6, All its says though is

"Client wants to change some grades in his academic record.
The remote ip of the victim is 141.83.177.172.

The record to modify belongs to: Malinde Geltn
Client wants to modify the subject Economy to change the note to approved at least."

I've ssh'd in with root@1234 [IP] and I been looking around for this "note" but can't find it anywhere

use the student viewer to see the target profile (naviguate in the viewer gui with the arrow up left in the gui window) then click on the the note to change increase or decrease according of what your mission ask by entering number in the note field once it done save the file by using the save icon top left in the viewer window reply to the client whatever you want and it should work

Do you have to be on the remote server that is hosting the sql server or just on the same network? I was on a hacked computer with the student viewer exe but could not get it to connect to the lan address and port, kept saying failure to save configuration

I think you need to be on the server that is hosting the sql server.
Also, I think "approved" is 5 so "change a note to approved" means 5 or above.

How do you get onto the computer hosting the sql server if the only port open is the "student" or "employee" ports?

You can't atm since no sql tools have been added yet. You need to find a server with both sql and http/ssh/smtp.

the "note" is just the persons grade. so the 2.6 number you saw.

and you dont have to be on the server where the sql database is, because StudentsViewer.exe is automatically connected to the database unless someone ♥♥♥♥♥ with the settings

Have you ever managed to hack a sql server when you where on a different server?
I don't think I have found any that worked.
I agree it should work in principle but I don't think it works in the game.
