The shop you get from the email is an NPC shop meant to simulate a player shop.

To get nmap, smtp-user-list and the basic servers (as well as hardware upgrades), search in browser for "shop" and go to one of those.

Did you place it in your /bin/ folder?
that's where it default searches for binaries where you call them. Otherwise you need to use full path for it to work

or run it from /home/<username> or /root, you can get your current "directory" with pwd binary file, basically it's Linux Command prompt, but only nightly has Symbolic Links (e.g. Shortcuts in windows), currently, and even those can't launch from the desktop because when referencing binary's they throw an error dialog.

If you've more experience with DOS/Windows Command Prompt, think of "C:" as "/"

The Game by default actually searches both "/bin" and "/usr/bin" but most people prefer to place custom binaries in "bin" my sole exception which remains something of a habit even with apt-get is "AdminMonitor.exe" which I like my GUI programs in my /usr/bin directory. Also I prefer to store importable code blocks (e.g. Libraries/defines) along with the .so files in "/lib", since you can't import code without a absolute path anyway.
