Moles - Can we get a dev to actually answer?

I did the opening *place a mole* quest. Fairly certain it's been over 6 months (although there's no way to tell), and he just sits there under 'Mole'. Can't fire him, can't get him to do anything, can't even see which gang he's a moie in, No clue where he is. Can we get a straight answer from someone who actually knows???

Different gangsters that you can hire have different professions like hired gun, spy, enforcer and each mole of each profession does a different thing while working as a mole for you: enforcers steal money, hired guns can attempt to assassinate a rival boss, demolitionists can sabotage buildings etc.

P.S. i'm not a dev, just a paying customer...

If it's any help, I tried the quest twice (two playthroughs). The first time, my mole got caught and executed at some point. The second time, my mole succeeded in his mission and got away with about 350 dollars in cash (enforcer). Both times, it took a long time for anything to happen, but eventually it got resolved. I don't keep track of in-game time, but I'm fairly certain it was before 1921 in both cases.

Edit: was looking at the wiki, apparently the mole mission is supposed to take exactly 6 months. I missed that, so I suppose my reply is useless in that case, except maybe for saying that they both did come back eventually.
