Relics of the Past BUG - Holy water not working

Ok, so here's what happened.

I opened a secret area to find a holy water room. Rather than using it right away, I headed to a room with a cartridge (one containing bombs) to spend my ammo on, since I knew the holy water would completely refill my ammo. (I was using a railgun that was obtained from the perc that spawns a selection of powerful weapons) I opened the cartridge using 25 ammo, and with 25 remaining ammo I returned to the holy water room. However, entering the holy water did not trigger the usual animation, and whatever I tried, I was not able to use the holy water. Something else to note is that I did all of this after defeating the boss (first floor). The holy water room was adjacent to the boss room.

I don't know what could have caused this to happen so I tried to include all the possibly relevant information I could.

Are you sure the weapon wasn't already blessed?
