Tapping is okay for keyboard, but not for analog stick. The game tries to be retro, while being a twin stick shooter with bullet hell mechanics. So it's target audience are people with gamepads, and without analog movement it's not exactly comfortable to play on gamepad - it doesn't feel good and it doesn't feel fair because the game doesn't allow you to properly dodge.
I hope devs will implement proper analog movement.
If the devs have some strong opinion that shooters are easier to play with digital inputs rather than analogue, they should maybe communicate that, because if that's the case then I've been playing shooters wrong all along, and I would like to know.
