What do these actually do? I just did a run to where these should have been a rocket launcher or explosive shot, but instead I couldn’t progress as the only ways forward were either a rocket door or the vertical shaft to the endboss.

They cause more champions to spawn. Explosive Bolts or Rocket Launcher are probably around somewhere.

I suspected that’s what they do because of how you unlock them but they were in the only accessible room left that I hadn’t already explored.I probably should have saved the seed but I just restarted the run. It’s very possible I missed something but as far as I can tell the map shows the unexplored rooms that are adjacent to rooms you have explored, which would mean that If there was a rocket launcher or explosive bolt then I walked into the room where it was and walked out without picking it up. But I believe if that were the case then I would have seen a square in that room on the map as opposed to a dot. Either way it’s a moot point because I didn’t save the seed and nothing like it has happened since and I haven’t put this game down since I bought it.
