Fight Bot, Fast Bot and The Quickening tips
Ok so, I've had a few runs in the game and I got to the Megabeast once but failed but I really enjoyed what I've been seeing of the game so far, that's why I decided I want to try and 100% it. So I went ahead and scrolled through the achievements page and with the exception of the three mentioned above all the others seem pretty reasonable (though I still have some hidden achievements so I don't know if there are any others that are like these) but I've a feeling that I'll have to imrpove quite a lot to get these three. So, I would like to ask to more experienced players in advance: what are some of your tips, tricks, glitches, exploits, whatever.. that will make these achievements easier?

The easiest way to get The Quickening is to go for ending three by beating the glitch zone.

OK, thanks I'll look into it.
Also, got my first victory today against the Megabeast which also happened to be the run which I got Fast Bot thanks to the insane luck of finding Artifice Helm and Hand of Hephaestus in the SAME shop, that was pretty ridiculous.
I'm confused about something though, the achievement description outside the game says that to get Fast Bot you need to beat the boss in under 40 minutes but in game, when the achievement pops up, it says 35. I wonder which one is it? I finished the run in 31 minutes so I don't know.

Just got Fight Bot and the rest of the easy achievements today, so now I'm oficially only missing The Quickening. Time to start working on that...

Congrats to beating the megabeast first time!
I think it is just a matter of seed luck & restarting often.

Some maps are really ugly for speedruns with alot of backtracking & chaotic labyrinths.

And other maps are very deteriministic linear with nice teleporter locations, where beating the game in less than 1 hour is quite doable as long as you are familiar with the game + fast controls.

Good luck to you. We are on the same newcomer adventure i think. Did only 10 runs so far. But now i improved abit and got a 3 megabeast kill streak xD
I think i died like 5 times :Sacked:

That's it, got The Quickening today and with that I've all the 70 achievements! Now all that's left is to fill the empty spaces in the item list for items that I haven't found during a run yet and then just wait for the upcoming Crystal Mines update.

As far as the winning run went, I started with Laser Beam, Module Transmogrifier (which helped me reroll bad champion drops like Shot Speed, Speed Up and Glitch Modules into something that was more useful), Mega Damage and obviously The Thief. I explored the entirety of Surface City, got a couple of items that put me at 6%, I farmed power ups in the screen that's in almost every run (the one that leads to the Megabeast). I farmed for about 40 minutes, in that time I was also able to gather 4 of each type of scrap which I donated to a shrine that was also conviniently located in the Surface City to enter the secret area (because Tutorial Smith wasn't glitching in this run) and finished the game there.

Was it then more a lucky seed run? Or is it somehow possible to predict boss locations or power up secrets in walls? I'm not that familiar / experienced with the map algorithmn yet. Only 10 run sample :c

I also want to do quickening, but i'm abit scared that i unlock too many filler "rubbish" items and adds so the more you play the harder it actually gets to make a successful 40 or 30 min speedrun.

Ah ok so there is a bypass, you didn't speedrun it with megabeast or mega core kill?
I still wonder, if speedrunning is still viable / possible with endboss kill and not glitch ending.
Just curious about best strategy.

You know what i mean?

Yes, Glitch ending was the strategy that worked for me to get Quickening and that many people suggested.

Yeah! It is possible to get Quickening going to the Megabeast instead of the glitch ending I've seen people do it in some videos I've been watching. But IMO it is A LOT easier to just farm with the Thief and go for glitch ending.

As a note even if you leave this one for last it probably shouldn't be THAT bad. Not only that but by getting other certain achievements you increase the number of starting items you can get and surprisingly enough The Thief is actually a relatively common starting item, at least for me it was, it only took a few restarts to spawn with it.

Alright so it doesn't really matter, if i try to speedrun megabeast core now or later?

Besides that other question. Is it now possible with experience to predict boss locations and block secrets or no? Is the map generation pretty deterministic?

Nah, just leave speedruns and low% achievements for last, by then you are sure to be a lot more experienced with the game, you'll also have increased chances at starting items like I said and most of the items in this game are pretty useful. The same goes for block items once you have played enough you'll get familiar with all the different screens and you'll be able to easily find the block locations with the help of the circles in the minimap. Boss locations sometimes are easy other times not so much, sometimes you get a bad map and there's just nothing you can do about it besides try again. Like in my first attempt at a Core kill with 100% items in under 60 minutes I was 1 minute late because I got bad map, but in my next attempt I got a good map and beat it in 45 minutes (15 minutes to spare).
