Game is very short but better than other two. In all 3 games the ultimate weapons are only a tiny bit better than what you already have and weapons are of little use anyway. Magic is what kills most of your enemies. As a challenge you could use only weapons but it would be very hard. Game is somewhat unbalanced in this respect.

The gameplay of the trilogy indeed gets better with each episode although the third one is very similar to the second (with the only gameplay change that you can now jump, push stones or cut objects). But storywise the first one is by far the best, the script in part 2 is already a bit ridiculous, the third one is worse, only the first game had a good scenario but the first game also had massive gameplay problems that were luckily all solved in the second part (no map, univisible enemies, no fast travel option and lots of backtracking).

The only thing that i find unfortunate is that we don't start at the levels where we were at the end of the last episode,

the thing i am missing is a message that you actualy level up, it is realy satisfying in RPGs when you advance in level's, and in all 3 of them i think this feeling is missing. Would be great if you would get a "charcterX level up" message, or something like that.

and yes, i must agree that the story of the other two was definetly better. and some battle animations are shaking in this one, but is still realy fun to play.
