I'm trying to understand your message. If you have a controller set up like an xbox controller on your pc, it should work right out of the box.
Do you want to rebind the keys on your controller? For instance to walk with the right analog stick? I'm not sure that will be possible. Controller rebinding is something that was hoping to add to the game, but couldn't get to work.
But the game should work with most any controller, and certainly with an xbox 360 controller.
Correct, it was setup like an xbox360 controller but the game just won't read it. Thus I decided to do keybinding to see if I can bind it, and like you said, not working for the axis. The action buttons all work nice tho' in keybinding.
I have a Tronsmart Mars-G01 and Windows does read it as a X360 controller and works out of the box for Steam Big Pictures and other games (most recently, Cuphead), that's why Yono is kind of an outlier in my case.
I donno if this'll help but I start up the game first time without any controller to see if keyboard-only is feasible, then decided to connect the controller afterwards.
I already finished the game (struggling-ly) with keyboard tho' :))
Hate to resurrect a dead thread, but the 360 controller still does not work out of the box, and the game does not recognise the analogue sticks for rebinding the keys.
If you were just assuming it should work three years ago, I'm not holding out much hope for it being fixed any time soon.
