Same like with the non-Steam version.
Modifications that act as different game versions (such as MovieBattles II[www.moviebattles.com]) are installed by placing the Mod folder into the GameData folder (...\Steam\steamapps\common\jedi academy\GameData)
Modifications that just add another playermodel for example are installed by placing the *.pk3 file into the base folder (...\Steam\steamapps\common\jedi academy\GameData\base).

Is that it? ^ i cant get the pk3's to do anything

Put all .pk3's into base folder. Other larger mods(such as MB2 as stated above) should have readme files to instruct you for placing the non-pk3 files.

Oh okay. I'll try that

I'm having some trouble, I have three mods atm, enhanced blood textures, a saber hilt addition and a skin pack. For some reason the sound no longer works. Is this a problem with a mod? I put all three in the GameDate>base file. I'm not new to modding so I know I put them in the right spot.

I have downloaded two mods, one that adds approximately 22 hilts and another that adds a color changer for the blade. I have extracted both .pk3's and put them in the base file. When I open the game and look into the setup menu, neither of them are there. Advice?

Incarnido, did you check the Readme files? There might be console commands required to activate them that are provided in the readmes. Also, some mods only work for miltiplayer, and some only work for singleplayer, and then there are some MP things like weaponpacks that you do not by default have access to in the saber select menu the game provides. I've got a few dozen blade mods like that, they work just fine in the menu in Multiplayer but for singleplayer you have to manually enter in the console command below, using one of my mods as an example...
[V <- the name of the weapon goes there]
saber war_azz_twin
[^<- this and the space following it are the console command's start, you would need to enter that weapon name after the space]

If you have something like PAKScape, I believe that filefront has JA mods has a download for this...

You can manually open PK3 files and explore them, you might be able to find that hilt you wanted to use in singleplayer this way, by seeing what its folder in the PK3 is and entering that name into that console command above this.

Here is the link to it

http://jediknight3.filefront.com/file/Pakscape;31681

Hopefully this helps.

On the matter of the color changer, there might be a menu interface that opens after you enter the command in. It sounds almost like you might have picked up Jedi Academy+ though, which means you may need a couple more thigns, and not only this but JA+ is multiplayer mode only, incase you were trying this in Single player.

if its not JA+? Well, THere are ways to bind console commands to keys so when you hit them it enters and activates the command automatically.

Thank you it totally worked!
It seems, though, that it glitched some part of the game... Last mission on Tatooine the imperial officers seem to "teleport" to where they should be and some walls are flickering. Could it be my pc or the mod itself?
