Modding Jedi Academy on a Mac
Hello, i recently bought Jedi Academy, i saw it was for sale and i thought, wow this will certainly do for a nostalgiatrip, and as i recall it was fairly easy to put in some fun mods in it as well, that was on the PC version of course.

I wanted to ask if anyone knows how to put some fine mods in the mac version now?

Thank you in advance

I think you can usually use the same mods that work on the PC version.

Yeah, this i know, but my problem is where am i supposed to put the files? I can't seem to find the correct base folder, the "gamedata" folder, i've tried to put it in /library/applicationsupport/steam/steamapps/common/jediacademy then show package contents /contents/base but it wont work, i can't make the mods show up ingame in the mods section. Maybe the macversion is not capable of handling mods since there is no "real" gamedata folder. hmm

Friend of mine told me the folder structure is the same, GameData just has a different name.

Hmm, strange. I just can't make them show up.

Try Library/Application Support/ Jedi Academy (or Jedi Academy MP)/base

Yes that is exactly what i've been trying to do all this time, i assumed that would be the "base" folder but i just can't make them show up ingame.

No doubt, it was great news to see a Mac-ready JA on Steam. But so far, Aspyr has cost me $10 for only a major tease. :p

Autodownload makes no difference as most servers have it disabled, and it is unrealistic to acquire all files of a given server - let alone all files of EVERY server.

We should be able to join, even if we lack the random saber.pk3 (etc...) files the server has, just as it has always been on Windows, right?

if that link helps great if not then i apologize. I am trying to get these dam mods to work too.

Sadly, the issue is that most servers (especially JA+ servers) don't allow auto download. So we're still stuck - but maybe we can flood aspyr forums with our frustration until they change it lol :p

People should start posting server packs and urls to them in the server comments.
