Jedi Academy + Mac!? :D
Tonight I found out that I have it in my library as a Mac version (in menu "Games for Mac")... So that's one of two things - it's either a problem on my or Valve's side, or they are really preparing a release! When trying to install, it downloads absolutely nothing. Mac users - tell us about your expierence with this!

This also happened to me! I thought Aspyr has the rights to the Mac transfer of Jedi Academy, I didn't think they would sell ever offer it on steam! Here is hoping we have more Mac games come to Steam!
Same here. Nothing downloads, and the store page says nothing about a Mac version. But I have the option to install it, so here's hoping this is a leak of some future happiness to come.
It seems liek they're currently testing it on Mac OS. Preoperties sais there currently is a password-protected Mac beta.
When I played Civ 5 today and the Aspyr thing poped up it had jedi knight acadamy as a title coming soon.
Same here I hope they will release it soon.

I downloaded Jedi Academy Mac version to my MacPro and the stupid thing wont work. It just keeps saying "Missing Executable". Does anyone have a clue what that means?

When did you download it? Just give it a shot and redownload it.

I am having quite a bad performance playing jedi academy on my macbook pro mid 2010 2,66Ghz 8GB RRAM 512MB VRAM - anyone running the game with really high framerates on a comparable machine?

I'm having a quite bad perfomance aswell at latest MacBook Pro Retina. That's probably bad port, maybe they'll release an update.

Everything's fine for me. MBP, 4Gb Ram, 512Mb Video, OSX 10.8.
There's been some issues with Retina Macs, we'll see if Aspyr releases a patch soon.
It's painfully and ridiculously slow for me. I have 3.06GHz processor, 4GB RAM, and 512MB video card. It seems like it's not utilizing the GPU at all. It's only fast enough if I reduce all the graphics options to minimal (which looks horrid). However, if I play it on Windows, it's super fast and looks great. As far as I'm concerned, it's unplayable in it's current state.

Also, for some reason, Aspyr didn't bother to bring over the controller support. But they did for Jedi Outcast. What gives?? I'm sure some of you will say that keyboard and mouse are much better. I don't care, that's your opinion. I prefer to use a controller, and there's no reason this can't be accomplished.

So, will be waiting for an update. In the mean time, I'll probably bug Aspyr about this, and play it on Windows where it actually works well with full functionality.
im playing it on mac now ;)
