Compatibility?
I loved this game when I first got it, and since then, I've bought my own laptop. I know absolutely nothing about compatibility or what is better than what. I know the requirements aren't too high, but I want to make sure I can run the game before I spend money on it, but there's no demo to test it.
The Windows requirements are:
OS: Windows 2000, XP or Vista
Processor: Pentium II or Athlon 450 MHz
Memory: 128 MB
Graphics: 32 MB OpenGL compatible
DirectX®: 9.0a
Hard Drive: 1.3 GB
Sound: 16 bit Direct x 9.0a
Multiplayer Requirements: Pentium II or Athlon 450MHz

My overall specs are as follows:
Operating System: MS Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit SP1
CPU: AMD Athlon II M300
Caspian 45nm Technology
RAM: 3.0GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 402MHz
Motherboard: TOSHIBA Portable PC (Socket S1G3)
Graphics:Generic PnP Monitor (1366x768@60Hz)
AMD M860G with ATI Mobility Radeon 4100
Hard Drives: 313GB Hitachi Hitachi HTS545032B9A300 ATA Device (SATA) 96 °F
Optical Drives: TSSTcorp CDDVDW TS-L633Y ATA Device
Audio: Realtek High Definition Audio

I used Speccy to get these stats. Someone please let me know whether I can play this game! :D

There actually is a Jedi Academy Singleplayer demo of two levels, just google for "jedi academy demo". :)

oh, but its not on steam? Thanks. :D

Sidebar, I was able to find out that my comp will work fine, but I need to enable openGL on my video card, which is a AMD M860G with ATI Mobility Radeon 4100.

Im not sure what I'm looking for, in order to make that happen. Any help?

Thanks, btw. :D

Hang on... this game will run on ANYTHING. Really, you don't need to ask that. I mean... Pentium II? That's around Windows 98 level equipment. Trust me, I have a Pentium 4 (nothing to brag about) and an Intel Q45/Q43 Express Chipset, and I can run TF2 on almost full graphics, something that came out in 2007 (4 years after jedi academy) and heavily updated since in graphics. Your PC sounds better in every respect, so honestly, your question just made me laugh. It'll run fine, without a doubt, 100% guarantee.
