cheats are not working in single player mode

I can't use any cheats on single player mode. I always get the message "cheats are not eneabled on this server". I

n lots of forums in the internet is written: use "devmapall" or "helpusobj 1" to activate cheats. .It seems, the steam version is different than the version from 2003.

Does someone has an idea, how to enable cheats in steam version ?

all you should have to do in sp is type helpusobi 1 in the console

You need to read more carefully... he said "helpusobi 1", which will work.
Obviously if you write "helpusobj 1" (Help us Objective One? lol) instead then it will not.

but I'm having a similar problem. "helpusobi 1" does nothing and "devmapall" makes the console say "no map selected." I can't enable cheats o this steam version, and I don't remember having an issue like this with the original version. Am I typing this wrong in the console somehow?

I know for a fact it works. I have the steam version modded to ridiculous levels. Including using JKA to play Outcast campaign. I also have Outcast on Steam and I can do the same.

All you need to do is install, new/load game, shift+~, without quotes type "helpusobi 1".

Helpusobi 1. There is a space between helpusobi and 1.

After that just type "give all" "setforceall 4" "god" "noclip" whatever floats your boat.

I believe Dev map is only for MP, in either a private or public server. I maybe wrong though.

devmap works in both SP and MP, but devmap works only if you put a map name behind it, like ''devmap mp/ffa1''. HelpUsObi 1 works only in SP and doesn't need a map restart, devmapall however... I never understood how that thing worked x)
Maybe you need to add it to the .exe's shortcut, like +devmapall?

Someone can help me because I had a problem with the console. When I tried to enable the console, it didn't appear when I tried to do Shift ~ +, so I can't and I'm on Steam.
