Can't Alt+Tab

I had to recently re-instal the game, However I cant go back to windows anymore(alt+tab) while playing the game...
Im running windows 8 on a laptop.

Any suggestions ? Has anyone had this problem before ?

i use windowed mode cause its a pain

you have to minimize the window using task manager

[knucklehead]

the quake 3 arena engine has problems alt tabbing. its always been a problem with games made on that engine
