Dude, just turn off downloads on ur server. I would encourage everyone to keep downloads on since our server has custom maps on it.

You're pretty not smart having auto downloads on your server. They can steal your rcon and login as an admin.

clients must disable download also, so Shwarts is right. server cvar setting does not make any difference in this behavior. Client connects with enabled download, server refuses the download, client disconnects. That's it. I have been having a jka server for 7-8 years now on base (no mods), and this happens there also. (not just on japlus)

That was patched with our mod, jaPRO. Downloads work perfectly at 200kb/s.

yes just use openjk engine and turn downloads on. then you won't be kicking off people who are trying to download files they need to play on your server. they cannot steal rcon anymore.

btw. in the mac version of jka turning client downloads off doesn't help, it still errors out unless server has downloads enabled.
