Write these commands in notepad++:
r_customwidth 1920
r_customheight 1080
r_mode -1
cg_fov 110
vid_restart
seta broadsword "1"
Click "Save as" and rename the file to "autoexec.cfg" and put it in the install dir f.e. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Jedi Academy\GameData\base.
The reason you want to make the file is because if you put the commands into the game's console, you have to repeat every time you play. if you create an "autoexec.cfg" file, then it loads the commands before the game launches and makes it so you dont have to do it manually
So I come to you with yet another solution in case if the previous once didn't helped you.
I came across that method on the third page of the google myself, and decided to share this discovery with those who had the same problem as I did - Extremely widescreen let's call it that.
Using the method with creating the folder "autoconfig.cfg" my screen became too wide.
There is a solution.
1)Go to the GameData;
2)Right-click on Jasp.exe:
3)Pick "Properties";
4)Then find "compatibility" and click to "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings";
ANOTHER POSSIBLE STEP!
5)If that didn't help then you must do one more thing that helped in my case.
Right-click on Jasp.exe once more and return to compatibility, but this time pick "change parameters of the High DPI(or at least it should be named something like that) and down there should be a choice to run with Application - THAT is your pick.
I hope that it helps those in need.
May the Force be with you.
