Mouse has a mind of its own
Hey guys,

Ive been having trouble with my mouse in Jedi Outcast and Academy. The mouse just constantly moves down. I fixed this issue on Outcast my removing mouse acceleration but the problem still persists with Jedi Academy. Needless to say this is very annoying when trying to aim, or fight in a light saber battle.

Im a master at taking out legs and shooting people in the knees now.

Any ideas?

Turn off your mouse pad? Seriously that's silly answer i ever heard in a long time. You mean remove the mouse pad and get a different one perhaps. However it could be helpful if you could tell us what kind of mouse and mouse pad you use. Perhaps we can help you with a solution.

he probably means the mouse pad from laptop, not the mat you keep under your mouse, on desk

Its a standard Optical mouse and the pad is just a plane black pad. no crazy patterns or anything.

Okay here is a fix for win 10 -> rightclick on desktop -> display settings, if you have more then one screen, select the screen you play on and change the rider thats just below the screen selection, wich says Size oif Text Aps and other elements(roughly translated as, my Windows is in German) move it all the way to the left 100% Zoom, even if it looks like its allready there just do it again.

Accept the change, windows will prompt you that it needs to log you out to make the settings effective. Just log back in, your Desktop may look diffrent, you gotta deal with it as long as you want to play Star Wars you can change it back after playing.

You may also need to change the resolution in game to your native Resolution, i did that before changing the other "Zoom" thing.

here is how you do that

Type the following commands in the console:
(Hold SHIFT and press ~ to get into console)

SHIFT + ~
r_customwidth 1920 (Use your native resolution)
r_customheight 1080 (Use your native resolution)
r_mode -1
vid_restart
