Not able to install Jedi Knight Jedi Academy on my Laptop
Hello: I bought Academy through steam this past weekend. When playing from the Steam app on windows 10, it plays fine and everything. However, when i try to run the "install" so the game installs on my harddrive, allowing me to make shortcuts to run the game, it gives me an error message. I also recently purchased KoToR 2 from Steam, and had no problem installing it after downloading on Steam. Does anyone have any help they could offer? I'm rather new at this.

Install? Do you know how steam games work? It is already installed in steams common files. It doesn't need another listing in program files. You have the game its just in another folder. Go to your library and right click jedi academy click properties and then local content click browse local content and those are the files there already installed.

Yes, I do know that. When I follow those steps, it leads to the files for Academy. Then, I see 3 folders: "directx", "GameData", "Install" . Then, there is a file with JK icon, that says Jedi Academy. When I click it, it brings up a small menu that says, "install", "help", "options", "exit" with a jedi in the background. When I go to click the install through the menu, it says that the install file cannot be found. So if its installed through steam, why is there a second install option? Was it just for the old versions of the game?

It is just left over from the game being on disc first.
