Multiplayer
So I bought this instead EA BF2 and I've been playing single player. It's nice but just noticed it doesn't even have multiplayer (idk why it took me so long to notice).

Is there any way for the devs to add this option? I think the switch version has multiplayer, why this one has less features?

Also would be nice to have a steam workshop, would feel safer installing mods and stuff.

When you star the game steam asks what you want singleplayer or multiplayer

Really!? Mine goes directly into single player mode.

I'll have to browse a bit more, see what's happening with my installation

Thanks, I was able to find the problem.

The desktop shortcut does that, so I had to open it from the steam game list.

Now to wait for a match.

Yea I noticed when the game crashed every time I tried to create a game. Looks like multiplayer doesn't like the non-default screen resolutions. I had to change the jamp config file back to one of the defaults.

Thanks again for the help

Unlikely, i think it xan process almost anything
Even unconventional types like 1280 instead of 1270

Also mp works for me well in any mode, not matter whose server is.

Sp and mp configs not fully compatible, so changes you made (apart from resolution) are to blame

But mp better to play with eternaljk anyway, cause it allows better options(resolution, borderless, fov) basically setting up normally and by typing stuff in the console or cfg file(like fov)

In my case that was making the game crash because there was no crash after changing back the resolution. I'm keeping it vanilla for now, as the single player runs fine with the widescreen config and I have no problem with the mp resolution either (maybe was made to prevent unfair advantages, fov in this case perhaps idk).

I think majority play widescreen with non default fov

i know you saw a good answer but check this out too

if youre on pc and you bring up the tilde console you can use the map names to teleport into the multiplayer maps. sure they wont work and youll be alone but you could try it :)

for example:

map mp/ffa1

hit enter.

if you have cheats enabled you will teleport into the multi map :) (helpusobi 1)

or like he said, choose multi from the startup :)

oh and for widescreen you gotta fix that in the custom steam settings when you right click the game name, and then type in the aspect ratio like 1280x720 in that box at the bottom :)

i meant to say

open steam

right click game name in library

go to settings

one of the tabs has an additional startup options box at the bottom of that menu

type in your aspect there like 1280x720
