Look at what they did to force unleashed. That is basically jk3, jk4 that is what it turned into.

"Two rejected concepts for future games in the series include Jedi Knight III: Brink of Darkness and Jedi Master. Jedi Master was one of the many video game concepts LucasArts considered for what would later become Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. It was to be a survival horror game—a much darker, more violent, and more mature continuation of the Jedi Knight series set during the Great Jedi Purge immediately following Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith. The concept was originally put out to potential consumers to test the demand for both another Jedi Knight game and a more mature Star Wars game, but both the consumers and the developers felt the concept was too gratuitous and derivative, and so it was thrown out." Original page: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Dark_Forces_saga

The force unleased is for the new generation of gamer/star wars fans who is unable to play video games without a arrow telling the player "Go Here".

You don't know how many times I've heard someone say they are lost and had to recommend a video walkthrough to get them through some level in the jedi knight series. I really think they'll never be another game quite like this.

Too many "Gamers" these days that just want to sit on their couch and play something that is linear and mindless fun versus Secret finders, open world explorers.

My dream is to have an MMO type game, with a more free combat system like JKA, and a player based master apprentice system. Kind of like Star Wars Galaxies, but with a combat system that gives players more control. I also want to play the early years of a padawan in the temple, and gosh darn it give me hardcore platforming and chase scenes like Episode 2! >:L

Re-read my post. I never said a skilled based MMO. Where do I say that? I literally said like Jedi Academy.

No, I want a combat system like Academy with the same platform elements from the Jedi Knight series. I don't want a KOTOR or SWTOR clone, I said a combat system that gives players MORE control, but in a open world. Imagine Star Wars Galaxies GTA style. Play as a Jedi, a smuggler, a soldier, but in a free open world with other players. The Master and Apprentice system would allow players to create their OWN Jedi order, without one being forced into the game.

Heck, I'd be happy if force powers were an ability you had to unlock, so you could create a force sensitive soldier that never took Jedi/Sith training, they just learned through trial and error. That would make the universe really interesting. Technically speaking, Luke was a farmer and a pilot that was force Sensitive, but if Obi-Wan never started his training, he would have never became a Jedi. I want these options in a Star Wars game. >:L

U can already do it in JK series and Kotor

I don't like the combat system in KOTOR and SWTOR, it was too linear and I didn't have much control in combat, I got bored with it because I didn't feel like a real Jedi. I wanted the platform elements from the movies and the grand adventure.

Jedi Knight is my favorite, but the game engine is too limited and too old, it is now outdated and small. On top of this, it isn't a real open world game, you have to join servers so it is very limited with what you can do. We need both series combined together to make something new.
