Please use launcher and in settings set steam integration.

For any help with MB2 I highly suggest you ask the dev team in their own forums here https://community.moviebattles.org/

Some people might be willing to help with MB2 in the steam discussions but please note this is for the base game it self not random mods. Hence the reason those random mods like MB2 created their own support forums.
