You should check out MODDB for some conversion mods like Movie Duels or Movie Battles if you're into prequel stuff.
something tells me tho that you enjoy EA's "Baseball-bat whacking" sabering tho if your saying this. The game has pretty great sabering considering its age even today beats EA hands down. lol if sabering is too easy for you in this play harder difficulty or run mods.
If you want true Multiplayer load up Moviebattles 2 Community is always active almost 24/7 has lot of people too fixed alot of "baseball bat whacking" crap from EA's game
For clarification, I meant lightsabers in EA's games (as well as every other Star Wars game) are treated like bats instead of superheated beams of plasma that can slice a limb off with a flick of a wrist. That's why I have always loved Jedi Knight.
Stick to KOTOR with their ever so engaging and action packed point and click attacking.
I'd recommend the old republic mmo or mass effect for you since they're both basically rip offs of KOTOR from the same dev.
Nothing to do with the visuals, I play plenty of older games. It's actually the level design that drove me off. I kept running around getting no where. Then on Dark Forces on level 3 (or so) I had to turn on the power and I kept just barely missing this one jump and had to go around the whole map like 3 times in a row, and while it is kind of pathetic to miss the jump it shouldn't be something where you have to march through half the map just to miss the jump again.
I love KotOR 1 and 2 because of the great story telling, the gameplay isnt bad but it's not good either. I knew that these games stories wouldn't be that great but outside of KotOR I'm not sure there's a single game I've ever played for it's story. Anyways, the idea of an in depth lightsaber combat game seemed amazing to me, but honestly, it doesn't seem that in depth. IDK. It probably wouldnt hurt to try mods, but the game has amazing reviews (even the bad ones mostly just say they can't get it to work but back in the day they loved it) so it's a bit of a let down. It's not a bad game but it seemed to me like there must have been something I didn't understand for everyone to find it so great.
Also, several things could make a Star Wars game good. I like KotOR for its story, Empire at War and Battlefront 2 (the 2005 one) for their gameplay, one being stategy the other FPS. But from what I have seen from this the lightsaber combat is barely a step up from BFII which is kind of a let down.
Or invest in a wii and xbox kinect for 360 they had star wars games where you could "control" your lightsaber in any direction to dodge blasters and duel. There is also a VR game on steam with the same concept but it is VR who has the money for that?
Well said.
