Desktop shortcut starts the game in SP/Story mode.
jasp.exe and jamp.exe start in story mode. No difference.
Mrpoke - do you mean we have to istall mods to run multiplayer? Or should the previously installed mod be the reason for the problem (definitely not my case)?

No, you shouldn't have to install any mods to play multiplayer. Usually if someone installs Movie Battles 2, It'll switch the two sp and mp exes around, and that can cause some problems with playing vanilla.

Download the first file from the site above and put the contents in the Gamedata folder in jedi academy. Open openjk.x86.exe and it should launch multiplayer
