Paid the 5 bucks but the newest thing I see is ReShade_GI_Beta_0.12RC2. No idea where to put the shaders and textures files. I looked around for some instructions as well as the 1.0 version you mentioned but I'm very lost in this discord webpage. ><

Ok, did you install reshade?
Install reshade. Open reshade, select jk2sp.exe. When reshade is install you will find in \steamapps\common\Jedi Outcast\GameData folder his folder reshade-shaders. Put the ReShade_GI_Beta_0.12RC2 folder over him. This will put the RTGI folder into reshade-shaders folder. Now, start the game. Press home to enter in reshade menu. select the .ini preset taht you downloaded and that's it.
Put the jk2_rt.ini in gamedata folder id you haven't.

Oh! I just found an exe download. ReShade_Setup_4.6.1-MOD.exe. I presume that's what I need to use the RI_Beta zip I mentioned earlier. I'll try that out real quick.

I got it installed in Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy but Academy isn't working. Hitting home brings up the menu etc in Outcast but nothing in Academy. For both Jedi Academy *and* Jedi Outcast I put the ja_rt.ini and reshade-shaders folder in the GameData folder. Inside those of course are the Shaders and Textures folders.
(The 4.6.1-MOD didn't do anything. I installed with an older version)

Did you install reshade on jasp.exe?

I did and it's running now. I had JA+ installed and just realized that the problem might have been from various cfg / dll files etc that were related to JA+. I uninstalled the game, removed JA+ and anything that might have been related to it and then reinstalled the game. Boom, Reshade works. Whew!
Do you happen to know if the JKA Texture Overhaul mod can run safely with Reshade? It's just a bunch of pk3's with jpg and png files and one psd file. No idea what's special about the single psd..

It can run, but I don't advised because the game looks terrible with it. You can try, see if you like it.
