Well, just launch it again and again, give up after 3 tries.

You can also try compatibility mode.

Hmm, maybe verify game files and launch the .exe from the folder of the game.

I had the same problem, Firstly try catching the window as the script looking window is loading I would have to try several times to catch it in time, (Click on the active game loading to get the mouse to be on the game screen.) Also Look at the direct X fixes in (Community GUIDES). Also in the guides, the monitor fixes there are 2 files had to edit to get screen to 1920X1080. I think the crashing is caused by (The Game loading) and it does not see a mouse cause it is outside of the active process, I believe the script is looking for the mouse/Keyboard/Video (Bindings) For these settings to switch over to the game and not crash. Hope it helps. Pretty cool old game>:)

thank you all for replying and trying to help i tried all of your suggestions and nothing seems to work... i uninstalled the game for now i probably will try again another time...

I know you said you uninstalled the game but i literally just got this working today, like 10 minutes ago.

https://sourceforge.net/projects/gldirect/

Download gldirect. un-zip the file. open it. then open the "bin" folder. then open the "release" folder. copy opengl32.dll into your "game data" folder of jedi academy. then launch the singleplayer through the "jasp.exe" file. Should load, then you should be able to open it from your steam library after that.

I had tried running in compatibility mode for several different windows versions and none worked even with that file installed. Once i launched it from the actually game directory, it worked fine.

Edit: i'm also on windows 10, i don't know if you are or not

This worked for me. I first had to set the screen resolution, quit the game, return to the game, then it would work without crashing.

The only thing I can say is it seems if there is a big difference between the resolution of the screen and the game it causes a crash. Maybe try lowing your screen resolution and if you get into the game up its resolution. This seemed to help me.
