In JA that's easier since you can get lightning level 3 after 2 missions.(Which makes majority of the encounters in the first 2 part a piece of cake.)
1. Force Grip Level 3 (Quickly throw sith over edges)
2. Lightning Level 3 (Quickly kills cultist guys)
3. Force Heal (Do I have to explain this one?)
4. Mind trick 3(For those huge stormtroopers with bolt shots and rockets)
5. Rage (DONT GET THIS ONE, ITS USELESS)
6. Drain (This one is good only when on level 3)
Always, ALWAYS, have the force push button ready. For me, force push is the most useful.
Other than that, be skillful with the lightsaber. Don't just swing it like a mad man.
P.S. The attack which will be most helpful to you is by holding c (crouch) while moving forward and THEN hitting the left mouse button.
Have fun.
The main problem of the game is that even with those you can't avoid insta death because this game hasn't balanced that well.(Which I've already told some examples of balance issues in this game that aren't related to force powers.)
Today I found 2 more balance issues.
1.On stairs(uneven ground) if a saberlock happens , your attack may not hit the enemy.
2.enemies may suddenly decide to force push you. Which results in your death since it's completely unavoidable.(It's not movie battles 2 where running is necessary for the force push to work)
