why is my FPS so awful?
2 GTX 980s SLI 4GB
i7 4820k
16GB RAM

so ever since I started playing this I noticed the FPS was pretty♥♥♥♥♥♥but ignored it, but now the more maps I play, some maps are just unplayable with how poorly they run, and I don't understand why. I know the game wasn't opitmized to play well on newer cards, but I've heard people with similar hardware say they get perfect FPS with everything maxed. I've tried tons of stuff to fix it but none of it seems to help (com_affinity 1, setting max fps to 125, trying at lowest settings possible, turning off SLI, etc). any ideas?

and for what it's worth, I notice it most when turning in maps. seems like that when the lag is at its worst, can drop to like 10 FPS.

With modern cards for some reason a feature titled "Dynamic glow" extremely tanks FPS. Try disabling it in the set up and then more video or r_dynamicglow 0

However disabling this turns off the lightsaber lighting up a room or the glow on the floor from the lightsabers and blasters bolts.

it's already turned off, I'm mostly talking about Movie Battles II if that helps btw.

although I noticed no different in performance in the standard game or Movie Duels 2

Okay then ask in the movie battles forums at community.moviebattles.org

i've tested this a lot more in native JA as well as another mod, Movie Duels II, and the FPS is just as bad, so it's not just MBII.

I have no idea what could be causing it.
