Installation / JA+ for MAC

Hi,

I just purchased JKA for my mac. The installation seemed to go okay. However, I can only play on pure basejka servers. Anything else and I get the following error message: "You are missing some files referenced by the server. You might not be able to join the game. Go to setup to turn on autodownload, or get the files elsewhere."

The maps are all base maps, so that's not the issue. I turn on autodownload, and it attempts to begin download JA+ sabers and other nonsense. The joining process crashes once that error message appears.

Also, I'm trying to install JA+ with no luck whatsoever. deleting the asset0.pk3, etc, files won't allow the game to open once I've deleted those.

I actually have the disc version completely installed on my computer, but don't have disc 1... I was hoping purchasing this steam version would give me access to the "disc 1" so I could just pop it in and play. Oh well...


Any advice? Thank you.

If you intend to play JKA with mods I highly suggest you get windows and not mac. Every mod is made for windows. Though if you're really interested in getting your mac working with ja+ I suggest you use ja++ and not ja+ http://japp.jkhub.org/ download and install that and make sure you remove the old ja+ entirely

Not a very helpful response. I play JA+ with several friends that have Macs, while I'm on a PC.
