Tech Update: Wings of Clearness Mini BOX!

The latest Mini BOX contains powerful new Synchro Monsters that you can use to upgrade your Synchro-based strategies! Check out some of the tech cards for your Extra Deck that are available in the Wings of Clearness Mini BOX!

1.) Clear Wing Synchro Dragon

Yugo’s Clear Wing Synchro Dragon is a Level 7 Synchro Monster that you can Summon by using 1 Tuner and 1 or more non-Tuners as Synchro Materials. This allows it to work with just about any Deck that plays Tuner monsters. Clear Wing Synchro Dragon has 2500 ATK and 2000 DEF, plus a few incredible effects to go with its stats.

The first of its effects will stop and destroy Level 5 or higher monsters. Once per turn, during either player’s turn, when another Level 5 or higher monster activates its effect on the field, Clear Wing Synchro Dragon can negate the activation of that effect and destroy that card.

The second of its effect will protect your Level 5 or higher monsters, including Clear Wing Synchro Dragon. Once per turn, during either player’s turn, when a monster effect is activated that targets exactly 1 Level 5 or higher monster on the field, Clear Wing Synchro Dragon can negate the activation and destroy it.

Clear Wing Synchro Dragon’s last effect increases its ATK when you use its other effects. If your Clear Wing Synchro Dragon destroys a monster with one of its first two effects, Clear Wing Synchro Dragon gains ATK equal to the destroyed monster’s original ATK until the end of the turn.

Clear Wing Synchro Dragon’s three effects combined allow you to stop an opponent’s monster effect, protect your high-Level monsters, and increase your Clear Wing’s Attack Points so that an opponent can’t take it down. All of these effects make Clear Wing Synchro Dragon a top tech card from the Wings of Clearness Mini BOX.

2.) Hi-Speedroid Chanbara

Hi-Speedroid Chanbara is a Level 5 Synchro Monster that you can Summon by combining a Tuner with 1 or more non-Tuners. That makes it easy to Summon in lots of different Decks that use Tuner monsters. Chanbara has 2000 ATK and can make a second attack during each Battle Phase. Even without any effects increasing its ATK, two direct attacks from Hi-Speedroid Chanbara in a single Battle Phase will wipe out all 4000 of an opponent’s starting Life Points!

Hi-Speedroid Chanbara also has a couple of other useful effects. The first of those effects increases Hi-Speedroid Chanbara’s ATK by 200 at the start of the Damage Step if it battles. The second of those effects allows you to add one of your banished “Speedroid” cards to your hand if your Hi-Speedroid Chanbara is sent to the Graveyard. This effect makes Hi-Speedroid Chanbara particularly strong in a Speedroid Deck.

If your Deck can easily Synchro Summon Level 5 monsters, consider adding Hi-Speedroid Chanbara to your Extra Deck!

3.) Void Ogre Dragon

Void Ogre Dragon is a Level 8 Synchro Monster that you can Summon by combining 1 DARK Tuner with 1 or more non-Tuners. This specific requirement for a DARK Tuner makes it a bit tougher to Summon than Clear Wing Synchro Dragon and Hi-Speedroid Chanbara, but that doesn’t mean Void Ogre Dragon won’t still fit into a bunch of different Decks as a powerful tech choice! Lots of Decks use DARK Tuners and can Summon Void Ogre Dragon with ease, including Rokket, Resonator, and Infernity Decks.

Void Ogre Dragon has 3000 ATK and 3000 DEF. In addition, it has an awesome effect that can stop an opponent’s plays. Once per turn, during either player’s turn, when your opponent activates a Spell or Trap Card while you have no cards in your hand, you can negate the activation of that card and destroy it. Void Ogre Dragon’s stats and effect make it a top tech card in the Wings of Clearness Mini BOX!
