Which one is better and has a better monetization?

Which one is better is nothing more than personal preference.

This game is more in line with the anime in how it goes about doing things, utilizes skills which ignores all rules of the actual game, uses a format with it's own rules, and has RUSH Duels which is more like a somewhat Speed Duel'd version of actual RUSH Duels

Master Duel on the other hand follows the actual game but is very behind, has it's own mesh of a banlist, all the events are PvP, a mediocre PvE, and has a far better F2P model than this game

Basically like the above poster said, it just depends on what format you want to play. I personally prefer duel links, but also play some master duel. The main edge duel links has over master duel, in my opinion, is the duels are faster and more anime driven.
