Is there a guide on how to unlock Chronicle Card customization like damaged, sepia, and whatnot?

As far as I know, it's random, by playing ranked duels, if you want one of these customizations, you need at first a chronicle card, which you want to have one of these customizations. then, you have to play with that card in your deck and hope you will unlock the customization you want and when you have that customization, you can only put it on the chronicle card which you used to unlock these in the first place.

You get those as rewards from events or ranked PvP.

I don't remember if there's a mission to unlock the customization option at the trader but you can use any card. I've used a free SR card to make it chronicle to gain more points for farming gate duelists.

Yeah you only need a stamp minimum and then you can unlock: Sepia, Noise and Used as custimizations, for that card which has the stamp on it, if you play ranked with that card in your deck. It isn't faster, if you used more customizations on the card, so don't worry.

Does it have to be ranked or will any PVP duel will do?

you get certain foils on your chronicle cards randomly through doing pvp. So for example let’s say you have 2 blue eyes. You put the silver trim on one, and nothing on the other. After a certain amount of pvp duels you will unlock a new foil for the one with the silver trim, but it can only be applied to that specific one. If you were to make both of the blue eyes chronicaled, say one gets a silver trim and the other gets a stamp, you’d have to randomly get the foil processing to drop for each copy individually

basically, you cannot farm “extra” chronicaled cards, just further customize some of the ones you have

i thought you just unlock chronicle rewards by climbing the ladder.. my dumb ass been using non-chronicle cards trying to farm customizations and then use the farmed customizations to make a ton of chronicle cards...

Yes, it works in that way, you need to put something like a stamp or rim colour on your card and use it, to unlock Sepia, Noise and Used, for that specific card, the advantage in comparison is, that once you unlock multiple of these customization for one card, you can switch the foil between them freely (between sepia, noise and used ofc.), without losing the items, like starlight or aurora, which will disappear when you change it's foil.

By playing pvp, "Used" is "Damaged" (sorry that I used the wrong name before)
