suddenly all i face r kaiju / lava golem / that damn moth players.
is this all just cause turn 1 reasonators is way to strong?
The most practical ones are probably neptune's discard effect protecting the agent/hyperion monster that it summons from being tributed until the end of the opponents turn...and the super generic mask of restrict (kills all forms of tributing while active).
Effects that prevent special summons altogether (or even just special summons from the hand I guess) prevent kaijus too of course.
Aurora paragon and giving #30 Acid Golem to your opponent are options, but both have many common counters (BoM/E, monster negates, dark hole, etc.) so don't see that much use (draconic contact sometimes abusing aurora paragon via a PK protection engine + busted skill doing the rest aside...).
There's quite a few cards we don't in duel links yet that can do this too but the better ones like vanity's ruler/fiend/emptiness we're not likely to get any time soon.
Resonator's especially oppressive turn 1 is likely part of the reason, but honestly kaijus work fairly well against most of the meta, likely even more so post-upcoming-banlist too.
