why does chronicle cards exists?

more customization options that can't be bought with existing currency, like why? animated mats wasn't enough?

I have about 20 "chronicle cards", you can "create" them by going to the "Shop" and clicking on "Special Processing" or get a drop. The effects of these cards are very nice. Great color palette.

These cards exist to make it more enjoyable for players to play.

Because why not, it's a cosmetic that makes your card of choice have a shiny effect and costs no money to do so, no reason not to have something people would actually want

In what way is it even a carrot on the stick, it's a free item you don't even have to use it if you don't like it

its an extra incentive to do events or kc/goha cup. it doesn't fix anything fundamentally wrong with the game. its another function that takes up storage space. it isn't something that is phenominal.

As apposed to the gems and cards you get from these events and cups meant to incentivize you to play them, also they hand out Chronicle Card items like it's nothing without either of those
