Broken Link Summoning for Cyber Dragon Sieger?
I want to make sure I'm not missing something about this, because I've already sent a message to Konami about it and they pretty much told me to make sure this is supposed to work before contacting them again.

While playing Cyber Dragons, it seems like Link Summoning Cyber Dragon Sieger doesn't work correctly if you have two different monsters named Cyber Dragon (which many become named while on the field) and a monster that isn't. As some examples:

If I have a Cyber Dragon Core and a Cyber Dragon Vier on the field, which both become named Cyber Dragon, the game will let me Link Summon Cyber Dragon Sieger by tributing them both as usual.

If I have those same monsters on the field, plus a Chimeratech Rampage Dragon, which does NOT become named Cyber Dragon, the game will let me Link Summon Cyber Dragon Sieger. But this time it will only let me tribute ONE of my Cyber Dragons, and only allow me to select Chimeratech Rampage Dragon as the other tribute.

If I have one monster being named Cyber Dragon, and two other Machine monsters on the field, like Cyber Pharos and Arcjet Lightcraft, the game won't let me Link Summon Sieger at all, even though it lists 2 machine monsters including a Cyber Dragon as the necessary tributes.

I've tried reviewing any rules etc. to see why this might not work, but I can't find any reason for it. So does anybody know if this SHOULD work, or if there's something I'm missing?

Sieger is a Link Monster , if you have Chimeratech on one extra monster zone (the ones in the center of the board are the Extra Monster zones), it is mandatory to use Chimeratech as a material, because Link monsters can only be summoned in the Extra monster zone , or on a field where an arrow of an another Link monster points to (summons from grave or banished cards not counted).

So you have to when you want both on field, summon Chimeratech on one of your 3 main fields first and link away 2 other monsters and put sieger on one of the Extra Monster Zones.

Also Arcjet Lightcraft locks you in summoning only Machine XYZ monsters, so you are not be able to summon it as long Arcjet Lightcraft is on the field, because Sieger is a Link monster.

If you have still a problem with that, I guess your settings on placing your cards are automatically. Go to "Settings" and then to "Duel" and by "Card Placement" you can choose between:

Auto: places your cards on any unused field (not recommended)

Manuelly 1: place your monsters where you want, spell traps will be placed automatically

Manually 2:Choose the placement of all your cards(recommended)

The reason you're required to use Chimeratech Rampage Dragon is because you either placed it in the Extra Monster Zone forcing you to use it as Link material or you have the fixed placement setting for you were forced to place it there which if that's the case change the settings to make it manual placement

As for the 2nd Arcjet is locking you into only being able to special summon ED monsters that are Machine Xyzs s you can't make the link while it's there

Thanks for the responses. I never used many Link monsters to know their details. That explained why I never had this issue in Legacy; it let me place things where I want so it was never an issue. I never knew this game had a manual placement setting. I'll definitely use that.
