Lunalight Crimson Fox Vs. Card Effects
This has bothered me for some time and I struggle to see how this isn't a bug. Both my LunaLight Sabre/Cat Dancers were destroyed by the Desperado Barrel Dragon coin flip. I had a Crimson fox in my graveyard, and no spells were on the field (and I was never given the chance to negate the effect with Crimson Fox). This is 1 of 1000 times my Crimson fox has failed me with no visible reason. This has to be fixed, it literally ruins the deck when I have to guess if this will work or not.

Also to add as a side note, my Lunalight Sabre Dancer works with the Crimson Fox maybe 50% of the time. I have a lot more success with Cat Dancer effect negations.

The effect of Desesperado Barrel Dragon doesn't target, that's why. It's not a bug. There's a difference between can't be destroyed by card effects and can't be targeted by card effects. Lunalight Sabre cannot be targeted by card effects, but CAN be destroyed by card effects, and of course that doesn't protect Sabre either by any effect that doesn't target.

This is spot on. You would run into the same issue with the likes of Flip Flop Frog, its bounce effect will still go through against Sabre as Flip Flop Frog doesn't target. And as stated above, not a bug, just simple game mechanics so no, nothing needs "fixed".

I guess I see the point to both of the above responses and I thank your for taking me to school (not sarcasm). However, am I wrong to say that even after a random coin flip my lunalight cards are being "targeted" even if it's in a random roll? At the end of the effect, the card is targeted. Am I stepping into the too technical terms here?

The card isn't "targeted".

To put it simply, if a card has the text "target" in it's effect (or "select" for pre PSCT cards) then it targets, if it doesn't have that written on it, it doesn't target.
