There’s a new Rush Duel Structure Deck available in the Shop and it stars the Dark Magician Girl! Check out the new cards in the Legend of Dark Magic Structure Deck (RUSH) and see how they improve Spellcaster Decks!

The Legend of Dark Magic Structure Deck (RUSH) includes 5 brand-new cards for Rush Duels, plus a Dark Magician Girl Rush Duel card with brand-new artwork. All of the new cards in the Structure Deck are Spellcaster-Type monsters or work with Spellcaster-Type monsters.

The new Dark Sword Magician is the heavy-hitter in the Deck, and has already been placed on the Limited 3 List due to its strength. Dark Sword Magician is a Level 7 monster with 2500 ATK and 1500 DEF; but its effect lets you Special Summon it from your hand if the number of Level 7 or higher monsters on your opponent’s field exceeds the number of monsters on your field. This effect will easily allow you to Special Summon it without Tributing any monsters. In addition, Dark Sword Magician has a Continuous Effect that protects it. As long as you have 6 or more Spell Cards in your Graveyard, it can’t be destroyed by your opponent’s effects! That makes it impervious to lots of different cards, including the Widespread Ruin Legend Card!

Light Sorcerer of Sanctity is a strong supporting Spellcaster-Type monster available in the Legend of Dark Magic Structure Deck. It’s a Level 4 LIGHT monster with 1200 ATK, and its effect lets you pay 300 Life Points to reduce the ATK of a face-up monster on your opponent’s field by 300 for each LIGHT Spellcaster-Type monster on your field, including your Light Sorcerer of Sanctity. This modest stat decrease will often be enough to allow your monsters you defeat your opponent’s monsters in battle.

The new Shining Shaman Spellcaster can help finish off your opponent when he or she is low on Life Points. By sending Shining Shaman from your field to the Graveyard, you’ll be able to attack directly with one of your Level 4 or lower Spellcasters. This effect can let you close out a Duel regardless of which monsters are on your opponent’s field.

The Magic Curtain Spell Card and Curtain of Sparks Trap Card also bring new Spellcaster support to Rush Duels in the Legend of Dark Magic Structure Deck.

Magic Curtain lets you pay 1000 Life Points to Special Summon a Spellcaster from your hand. You can use it to Special Summon your Dark Sword Magician or the Dark Magician Girl. Plus, the monster Special Summoned by the effect of Magic Curtain can’t be destroyed by an opponent’s Trap Card during that turn, making the Special Summoned monster immune to the popular Widespread Ruin Legend Card.

Curtain of Sparks can be activated when an opponent’s monster attacks and you have a Spellcaster in your Graveyard. This Trap Card reduces the attacking monster’s ATK by 500 until the end of the turn, helping to swing a battle in your favor.
