Personally never struggled with Exodia, I use a lot of decks that banish from the GY and/or field. And tbf I cant even remember the last time I went off against an Exodia player 🤔
Welp, there goes my PTSD....
But seriously if anything, they are very close to one another, they achieve similar goals just through different means.
This is so true...
As for meta decks that were truly unfun to deal with? Sylvans. They were WAY too consistent with not only obliterating your field (and in a way you generally couldn't stop) but also having beatsticks to run down anything you tried to put up to stop them.
They just won't stop drawing into more combo pieces and if you try to use a monster effect AT ALL they just use Blackbird Close from their hand to negate the effect, destroy the monster, then summon Blackwinged Dragon. Jesus christ, I waited 5 minutes for you to spit out a full field the least you could do is let me get a single effect off. Worst part is, they've barely been tickled by the banlist while pretty much every meta deck is getting hit and Crystons got nerfed into the dirt. Thanks Konami.
THEY WILL HAVE THEIR REVENGE... just like Koa'ki Meiru did.
Which meta decks are being hit?
What's wrong with Aromages 🥺
Crystons now have to choose between their best trap and one of their tuners. Shiranui is getting messed with. Dark Magicians got hit multiple times. Cyber dragons got Cybernetic Overflow hit.
Lots of nerfs to meta decks this time around.
