Dingirsu, the Orcust of the Evening Star

Dingirsu, the Orcust of the Evening Star is a new Rank 8 monster that brings incredible power to the Orcust theme! You could Xyz Summon it by combining 2 Level 8 monsters, but its effect also lets you Xyz Summon it by using an Orcust Link Monster you control as an Xyz Material instead. That’s much easier to do, since it allows you to Xyz Summon Dingirsu without controlling two monsters of the same Level.

Once it’s on the field, there’s a lot that Dingirsu can do. It has the power to protect any of your card(s) that would be destroyed by battle or card effect simply by detaching an Xyz Material from it. It also can use one of two different effects if it’s Special Summoned. The first of those two effects sends a card your opponent controls to the Graveyard. The second of those effects lets you attach 1 of your banished Machine-Type monsters to your Dingirsu as material. This combination of effects makes Dingirsu useful in just about any situation.

Galatea, the Orcust Automaton

Galatea, the Orcust Automaton is a Link-2 monster that you can Summon by using 2 Effect Monsters, including an Orcust monster, as Link materials. This simple Summoning requirement makes Galatea the perfect monster to use as an Xyz Material for Summoning Dingirsu. In addition, Galatea has some powerful effects of its own.

Galatea can’t be destroyed by battle if it’s linked. Plus, it has an effect that you can activate once per turn by targeting 1 of your banished Machine-Type monsters. Galatea will shuffle that monster into the Deck, and then lets you Set an Orcust Spell or Trap directly from your Deck. You can use this effect to set a powerful card like Orcustrated Return or Orcustrated Release from your Deck before using Galatea as an Xyz Material to Summon Dingirsu.

Orcust Knightmare

Orcust Knightmare is a new Level 7 Effect Monster that can’t be destroyed by battle with a Link Monster. More importantly, you can banish it from your Graveyard and target a face-up monster on the field to send a DARK Machine monster from your Deck to the Graveyard and increase the targeted monster’s ATK by the Level of the monster sent to the Graveyard times 100 until the end of the turn. The modest Attack Point boost can come in handy, but sending a DARK Machine monster from your Deck to the Graveyard is typically more important, since it gives you immediate access to the effects of cards like Orcust Harp Horror and Orcust Cymbal Skeleton. Since Orcust Knightmare is a “Knightmare” card, you can also Special Summon it from your Deck with the effect of the Limited 1 Knightmare Mermaid, making it easily accessible!

Longirsu, the Orcust Orchestrator

Longirsu, the Orcust Orchestrator is a Link-3 monster that can’t be destroyed by card effects while linked. You can Summon it by using 2 or more Effect Monsters, including an Orcust monster, as Link Materials. In addition, its effect lets you target 2 of your banished Machine-Type monsters and shuffle them into your Deck to send a linked monster your opponent controls to the Graveyard. Longirsu can’t attack during the turn you activate this effect, but the effect can come in handy when you need to remove an opponent’s linked monster from the field.

Orcustrion

Orcustrion is a Link-4 monster that you can Summon by using 2 or more Effect Monsters, including an Orcust monster, as Link Materials. It has 3000 ATK and can’t be destroyed by battle or card effects if it’s linked. In addition, its effect lets you target 3 of your banished Machines and shuffle them into your Deck to make the ATK/DEF of any linked monster(s) your opponent controls become 0 and negate their effects! This effect will render those monsters powerless, allowing you to quickly finish off your opponent!
