Tech Update: Lord of Borrel Mini BOX!
The Lord of Borrel Mini BOX was just released in the Shop and it contains powerful themed cards for Rokket Decks, Madolche Decks, Cyberse Decks, and more! Plus, several of the cards in the Lord of Borrel Mini BOX don’t just work with specific themes. Many of them fit into lots of different Decks! Take a look at the top tech cards in the Lord of Borrel Mini BOX that are useful with a variety of different strategies!

1.) Borreload Dragon

Varis’s ace monster Borreload Dragon is often associated with the Rokket theme. However, it’s a Link-4 monster that uses 3 or more Effect Monsters as Link Materials to Summon it, which means it can be Summoned by just about any Deck.

Borreload Dragon has 3000 ATK and three incredible effects. First, Borreload Dragon can’t be targeted by Monster Effects. This may make it tough for your opponent to get off of the field. Second, it has a Quick Effect that lets you target a monster once per turn and reduce its ATK and DEF by 500. Your opponent can’t activate cards or effects in response to the activation of this effect. Third, at the start of the Damage Step, if Borreload Dragon attacks an opponent’s monster, you can take control of that monster by placing it in a zone that Borreload Dragon points to, but send it to the Graveyard during the End Phase of the next turn. Using this effect will often allow you to finish an opponent off quickly.

Since Borreload Dragon has two Link Arrows pointing to the left and to the right, and two more pointing to the bottom-left and bottom-right, Borreload Dragon’s Link Arrows will always point to at least one of your Main Monster Zones. That makes it easy to use its effect to take control of an opponent’s monster. Borreload Dragon immediately removes that opponent’s monster from your opponent’s field as a threat, and more impressively, turns that monster against your opponent. This makes Borreload Dragon a powerful finisher that just about any Deck can use.

2.) Fuse Line

Fuse Line is an interesting new Trap Card that you can flip face-up to destroy any card in the same column it’s in. Set Fuse Line in the same column as an opponent’s card that you want to destroy, and you’ll be able to flip Fuse Line to take it down as soon as your opponent’s turn begins. Alternatively, you can set Fuse Line in a column that you expect your opponent to place cards into. For example, if you Summon a monster in one of the Extra Monster Zones, you might expect your opponent to Link Summon a monster in the other Extra Monster Zone. In anticipation of that, you can set Fuse Line in the same column as that Extra Monster Zone, and then flip it when your opponent Link Summons a monster. Fuse Line has a simple effect, but its power to destroy just about any card makes it a powerful tech choice from the latest Mini BOX.

3.) Summoner Monk

Summoner Monk is a Level 4 monster that switches into Defense Position if it’s Normal Summoned or flipped face-up. More importantly, it has an effect that lets you discard a Spell Card to Special Summon a Level 4 monster from your Deck. The Special Summoned monster can’t attack during the turn it’s Summoned, but it can activate its effects and be used as a material for Summoning a more powerful monster. There are lots of different Level 4 monsters that you can Special Summon with the effect of Summoner Monk, making it a strong choice for a number of different Decks that rely on Level 4 monsters.

The latest Mini BOX contains powerful cards that work with lots of different strategies. You can get these cards from packs of the Lord of Borrel Mini BOX, now available in the Shop!
