why i can't use spell and trap to link monster?

what happen?

Link monsters do not have defence mode. This means that they can't be switched to defence mode. Any card or affect that would switch a link monster to defence mode will not work as a result.

Do you see any defense stat on a link monster? If not, then its obvious that you cannot put it in defense position.

that is a thing about this game(master duel have it worst thou), it assume you play real yugioh lol

There literally is a link summoning tutorial in game. I've just done the tutorial, and it does not mention how link monsters cannot be switched to defence mode however.

OK I have found where it talks about link monster defence position. Go to Help, then Cards, then Monster cards, then link monsters.

Link monsters since they are unable to switch to defense position, therefore they are destroyed. But after many complaints and disagreement in the meeting room. They finally decided that LINK MONSTERS are now immune to any cards that change their battle postion including itself and they will not be destroyed. Konami made the decision and release the first link serie "yugioh Vrain" and followed by yugioh TCG.

Maybe he thought that both ATK and DEF are the same in link monsters. Like if Link monster have Atk 2000 then that must be hes def stat too.
