Deck Update: Nekroz!
The new Chaotic Soldiers Main BOX is packed with support for old Decks, and one of the most heavily supported themes in this latest Main BOX is the Nekroz theme! Nekroz monsters dominated the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME for a period of time, and many Duelists who experienced their dominance in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME are excited to experiment with the latest Nekroz additions to Duel Links. Check out Duel Links’s new Nekroz cards that will drastically improve the way the Nekroz Deck works!

Nekroz Decks focus on Ritual Summoning powerful Nekroz Monsters. In order to do so, they use Nekroz Ritual Spell Cards that Summon them with ease. Nekroz Duelists already had access to Nekroz Kaleidoscope from the Judgement Force Main BOX, but the latest Main BOX also gives them access to Nekroz Mirror and Nekroz Cycle. Nekroz Kaleidoscope lets a Duelist Ritual Summon any number of Nekroz monsters from his or her hand by using a monster from the Extra Deck to perform that Ritual Summon; Nekroz Mirror lets you banish monsters from your Graveyard to help Ritual Summon a Nekroz monster from your hand; and Nekroz Cycle lets you Ritual Summon Nekroz monsters from your Graveyard by Tributing monsters from your hand or field. Combined, these three Ritual Spell cards give Duelists access to Nekroz Ritual monsters in the hand and Graveyard, while allowing them to use monsters from the hand, Graveyard, and Extra Deck to Summon them. In addition, each of these three Ritual Spell Cards has an effect that lets you banish it from your Graveyard along with a Nekroz monster to search your Deck for a “Nekroz” Spell Card and add it to your hand so that you never run out of Ritual Spell Cards.

In addition to the two powerful new Nekroz Ritual Spell Cards, the Chaotic Soldiers Main BOX also adds two incredible Nekroz monsters to Duel Links. These monsters are Nekroz of Brionac and Shurit, Strategist of the Nekroz.

Nekroz of Brionac is a Level 6 Ritual Monster that you can discard from your hand to add any “Nekroz” monster from your Deck to your hand. This effect will not only put a Level 6 Ritual Monster into your Graveyard for you to use with Nekroz Mirror and Nekroz Cycle, but it’ll also give you immediate access to any Nekroz monster you’d rather have in your hand. Plus, Nekroz of Brionac’s other effect makes it a powerful monster to Ritual Summon. While it’s face-up on the field, you can target up to 2 face-up monsters on the field that were Special Summoned from the Extra Deck and shuffle them into the Deck. Most popular Decks rely on monsters Summoned from the Extra Deck, and Nekroz of Brionac’s effect can get rid of them all.

Shurit, Strategist of the Nekroz is a Level 3 Effect Monster that you can use to satisfy the requirement for Ritual Summoning any Nekroz Monster. Whether you’re trying to Summon the Level 5 Nekroz of Catastor or Level 10 Nekroz of Decisive Armor with one of your Nekroz Ritual Spell Cards, you can use the Level 3 Shurit, Strategist of the Nekroz to enable the Ritual Summon. In addition, if Shurit is Tributed by a card effect, including the effect of a Ritual Spell Card, you can add a Warrior-type Nekroz Ritual Monster from your Deck to your hand. Since Nekroz of Brionac is a Warrior-type monster, you can grab it with the effect of Shurit, in turn giving you access to any Nekroz monster in your Deck with Brionac’s effect. Shurit, Strategist of the Nekroz makes it easy to satisfy the requirement for a Ritual Summon, while Nekroz of Brionac gives Nekroz Duelists access to the monsters they need whenever they need them.

Although Nekroz Mirror, Nekroz Cycle, Nekroz of Brionac, and Shurit, Strategist of the Nekroz are the only new Nekroz cards in the Chaotic Soldiers Main BOX, they join an already-impressive line-up of Nekroz Ritual Monsters in Duel Links. These monsters include Nekroz of Gungnir (which has a Quick Effect that destroys a card on the field each turn), Nekroz of Decisive Armor (which has 3300 ATK and can banish an opponent’s Set card each turn), and the recently Limited Nekroz of Valkyrus (which can stop an opponent’s attack and end an opponent’s Battle Phase). Nevertheless, a few of the cards that made Nekroz Decks so powerful in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME are still unavailable in Duel Links, including Nekroz of Clausolas, Nekroz of Unicore, and Nekroz of Trishula.

The new Nekroz cards in the Chaotic Soldiers Main BOX bring Nekroz Decks to a new competitive level. Do you think the addition of these 4 new cards will give Nekroz Decks the boost they need to take on top PvP Decks?

great box, I do love Ritual Monsters, I had so much fun. I spent ~ 8000 gems on this box and I won ~ 15 games in a row (legend 4 rank). really nice box!

edit. so, this ritual deck is very powerful. I won 25 games in a row and that was really fun. this was probably the most enjoyable deck I've ever had and it's not really that expensive // ritual monsters are amazing in auto-duels too. i think i will use this deck 2-3 month at least.
